Practically anything. I love to read. Sometimes I completely devour books, reading two to three a week, and sometimes I get a little burned out and only read one or two a month. But what is always there is the desire to talk about what I have read, and the ability to find other books and authors I will enjoy.
You will notice a few recurring themes in my choices. I read primarily:
- Romance
- Paranormal
- Youth fiction
- Urban fiction
- SciFi
- Horror.
What will be in a Review?
The adventure here is to let you know what I am reading, as I read it, and update you on my thoughts and progress. I invite discussion and comments, and leave honest feedback.
Each review will contain the following:
- Title with a link to book/Author's website.
- Cover Art
- Publisher
- ISBN
- Page Count
- Short Synopsis of the Book
- My review
- Rating
The Rating System
0-5 stars. (half stars acceptable).
0 Stars - Terrible Read. ~ Wish I had never laid eyes on it. It was a complete waste of my time.
1 Stars - Bad Read. ~ Don't recommend it, and wish I had those hours back in my life.
2 Stars - OK Read. ~ Wouldn't recommend it, but I don't totally regret reading it.
3 Stars - Good Read. ~ Would recommend to others who are familiar with the author/genre
4 Stars - Great Read. ~ Really enjoyed the book, and would recommend it to most.
5 Stars - Must Read. ~ Everyone, regardless of preference should read this book.
How do I Choose?
I pick books I like, or that sound interesting. I give preference to those with a publish date nearing, and to those by authors I am already familiar with. Also - it gets extra points if it is in one one my preferred genres.
Rules of the Reading!
- All reviews will be fair and honest. I will say what I really think.
- I will always read the first 50 pages of any novel I start.
- Books will not be reviewed unless I finish reading it - cover to cover.
- I accept both print and ebooks for review (ARC, Galley, Finished Copy) - and I take recommendations from followers.
- Self-Published books will be considered if I can find information about the book.
Authors/Publishers/Publicists:
Know that I read and review everything, not just submitted books. My mainstream favorites will be mixed in with reviews for new and self-published authors. All books that are reviewed and discussed on my blog have either been purchased by me, or given to me by the publisher or author. I receive no compensation for these reviews, and do not let anything influence my honest opinion of the work.
